JOHN CLEESE BECOMES FIRST PYTHON GRANDPARENT

Cynthia Cleese, daughter of John Cleese, gave birth to a healthy baby boy on March 25, making John a first-time grandfather and beginning the third generation of Monty Python progeny. The little tyke's name is Evan Daniel. Baby and parents (Cynthia Cleese and Ed Solomon) are all doing fine.

Ed Solomon, the proud father/screenwriter, is sitting pretty as of late. Not only is he a first-time father, his most recent film Men in Black, is scoring big bucks at the box office. Solomon, whose writing credits also include Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure and Mom and Dad Save the World (starring Eric Idle), saw MIB rake in $84.133 million in the first week of its release. "What I brought to MIB was a goofiness, a sense of flamboyance and strangeness to the characters and maybe a level of humor to it," said Solomon.

Congratulations to the parents of Evan Daniel and to Ed Solomon on his successful film!
