The U.K.'s entertainment magazine, Empire, has elected The Pythons to this month's Hall of Fame.

Every month or so, the magazine celebrates an influential filmmaker in its “Hall of Fame” feature - documenting the contributions of certain celebrities to the world of cinema.

In this month's issue, all five of the surviving Pythons are featured. Each Python was interviewed, individually it seems, about the cinematic outings of the Flying Circus.

Previous inductees making Empire's Hall of Fame have included Steven Spielberg, Oliver Stone, and (of course) Terry Gilliam (December 2002 issue). Now, finally, Monty gets the recognition he so dearly deserves. Why the belated honors? “Maybe because we didn't go to all the dinners,” theorizes John Cleese in the interview.

The article also features a very rare portrait of all six Pythons, taken by British photographer Clive Arrowsmith.
