Watch for Superman: True Brit this October...

DC Comics has also provided a four-page preview on their website

Comicon's Pulse website recently (July 9) published an interview with Kim "Howard" Johnson about his work on the upcoming Superman comic book that he has co-authored with John Cleese.

DC Comics has disclosed that the 96-page graphic novel will go on sale 13 October 2004. The full-color hardcover book (art by comic book artist John Byrne and Mark Farmer) will retail for $24.95.

SUPERMAN: TRUE BRIT is an original hardcover graphic novel with a humorous new take on the Superman legend. What if... the book supposes... instead of baby Superman's rocket ship crashlanding in Smallville, the man of steel arrives in a small English town and is adopted by British parents - the Clarks.

In the new tale, Colin Clark's (Superman's human name) parents raise their son to hide his powers... because the worst thing anyone can do is stand out in the crowd.

But when Colin grows up to become a mild-mannered reporter working for the Daily Smear, a powerful tabloid newspaper dedicated to uncovering the biggest story of the century, he finds that the key to his success may be in going public. What will the neighbors think?

Expect some classic Cleesian humor and lots of Monty Python references!
