Brother's Grimm receives its premiere August 8 in Los Angeles

That sound you hear is the promotions team at Miramax gearing up for the August 26 debut of Brothers Grimm, Terry Gilliam's next film.

Brothers Grimm will have an advance premiere on the 8th of August at the Directors Guild of America Theater in Los Angeles. The stars of the film will be on hand to celebrate the event. Terry Gilliam wrote in to say that “I'll be spending the next couple of months beating the drum in a shameless attempt to lure the public into theatres.”

Meanwhile, The Brothers Grimm website is rapidly expanding its content. Catch Matt Damon this coming Monday (August 8) on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. “There is supposed to be a heavy tv campaign,” Terry says. Look for commercials for Brothers Grimm soon.

The film will be in competition for a Golden Lion at the 62 Venice Film Festival August 31st to September 10th. Terry Gilliam, as well as the film's stars Matt Damon, Heath Ledger, and Monica Bellucci will be in attendance.
